About Me
I have worked with children and families for over twenty years in both private and public mental health sectors. I have provided therapy as a licensed clinical social worker and also as a clinical supervisor for other mental health professionals and for social work students. I have worked in educationally related mental health; providing therapeutic services for children with special education needs, child abuse treatment, child welfare, in juvenile detention facilities, and in residential treatment. My experience includes individual, group, couples and family therapy with issues related to individual growth, relationships, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, hyperactivity, depression, trauma, childhood abuse, codependency, anger, domestic violence and parenting. I have been trained in the Nurtured Heart approach for positive parenting as well as Teaching Prosocial Skills (TPS) for children with socialization challenges.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time doing the things that bring me the most joy and peace; spending time with my family, friends, pets, traveling and exploring, walking in nature, reading, listening to music, and laughing and learning from others.
*I believe that therapy should be available to everyone. Ask me about payment options available for you.
